Notes:
Nye (1975) stated:-

Incorrect type-species: Oraesia rectistria Guenée, 1852, was cited in parenthesis by Moore, 1884, Lepid. Ceylon 3: 76, at the end of his generic redeseription where he usually cited the type-species. On this occasion the word 'Type' was omitted and so designation was made. O. rectistria is, however, congeneric with N. emarginata.

Poole (1989) included ORAESIA in the subfamily OPHIDERINAE, treated as CALPINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999).

Poole (1989) included 24 species in the genus ORAESIA.
