Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:-

Noorda was established in the Botydae, now Pyralidae Pyraustinae; it was placed in the Pyralidae Odontiinae by Munroe, 1961 Can. Ent. (Suppl.) 24: 5.

Noorda Walker, 1859, was designated as the type-genus for the new subfamily Noordinae (Pyralidae [now Crambidae]) by Minet, 1980, Bulletin de la Societe Entomologique de France 85 (3-4) : 79.

Noorda was treated in the Pyralidae, Odontiinae by Fletcher and Nye, 1984 Generic Names Moths World, 5 : 102.

NOORDA was included within the subfamily CRAMBIDAE: NOORDINAE by Munroe & Solis, in Kristensen (1999).

Shaffer (pers. comm.) treats NOORDA in the CRAMBIDAE: NOORDINAE.
