Anticrates Meyrick, 1905 was referred to the Yponomeutidae, Attevinae by Heppner, 1984, 36 Yponomeutidae, Atlas of Neotropical Lepidoptera. Checklist : Part 1. Micropterigoidea-Immoidea, p.55.

Anticrates was treated in the Yponomeutidae in Nye and Fletcher 1991, 6 : 22.

Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:-

The late J. Kyrki of Finland had informed us that he intended to transfer Anticrates to the Zygaenidae Phaudinae.
