Nye (1975) stated:-

Neotarache was the spelling used twice on page 44 and the name was derived from the genus Tarache Hübner which followed it on page 45; the spelling * Neotarche used as the heading was an inadvertent error.

Poole (1989) included only 1 species in the genus NEOTARACHE.
