M. monticola was established as the objective replacement name for Phalaena montana Stoll, 1781, in Cramer, Uitlandsche Kapellen (Papillons exot.) 4: 127, pl.356, fig.E, a junior primary homonym of Phalaena montana Scopoli, 1763, Ent. Carniolica: 236, - Lepid., Tortricidae.

P. montana Stoll is dated from the wrapper of part 30, not from the title-page of volume 4, which is dated 1782.
