Fletcher (1979) and Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:-

This genus was originally proposed in the Lithosiidae (now Arctiidae), but was subsequently transferred to the Geometridae; its first published use in this family appears to have been by Druce, 1901, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (7) 7: 75 (as * Menis, an incorrect subsequent spelling).

Parsons et al. (1999) included MENNIS Walker, 1854 [May 13] as a junior synonym of EUDULE Hübner, 1823.
