Anerastia became the type-genus of the Pyralidae Anerastiinae when the subfamily was established as `Phycitidae Anerastinae' by Ragonot, 1887, Diagnoses N. Am. Phycitidae Galleriidae: 17; it was transferred to the Pyralidae Phycitinae by Shaffer, 1968, Bull. U.S. natn. Mus. 280: 7, 58, 86.
