Andraca was established in the Bombycidae; it was placed in the Notodontidae by Eecke, 1921, Tijdschr. Ent. 64 (Verslag): xlix; and was transferred to the Eupterotidae by Kiriakoff, 1968, in Wytsman, Genera Insect. 217 (C): 2.

ANDRACA was included within the subfamily BOMBYCIDAE: PRISMOSTICTINAE by Lemaire & Minet, in Kristensen (1999).
