Notes:
Leucodemia Scoble and Scholtz, 1984, was proposed as a subgenus of Bucculatrix Zeller, 1839 and was raised to generic level by Vari and Kroon, 1986, Southern African Lepidoptera. A series of cross-referenced indices. : ix.

Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:-

Leucoedemia was established to denote a subgenus of Bucculatrix Zeller, 1839.

Leucoedemia was established in the Lyonetiidae Bucculatricinae, now Bucculatrigidae.

LEUCOEDEMIA was included within the family BUCCULATRICIDAE by Davis & Robinson, in Kristensen (1999).
