Nye (1975) stated:-

L. ceres is a junior subjective synonym of Curgia nonagrica Walker, [1863] 1864, J. Proc. Linn. Soc. (Zool.) 7:166.

Poole (1989) included LEUCOCOSMIA in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE, subsequently restricted to the genus AMPHIPYRA by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Other genera formerly treated in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE are treated as HADENINAE by Kitching & Rawlins (loc. cit.).

Poole (1989) included CURGIA Walker, [1863] (preoccupied] as a junior synonym of LEUCOCOSMIA Butler, 1886.
