Hemming (1967) stated:-

The name Lepidochrysops was introduced as a replacement of Neochrysops Bethune-Baker, [1923], which is invalid under the Law of Homonymy.

LEPIDOCHRYSOPS was included within the subfamily LYCAENIDAE: LYCAENINAE by Ackery et al., in Kristensen (1999).

Cowan (1968: 13) stated:-

LEPIDOCHRYSOPS, line 1; "Berl. ent. Z." should read; Dt. ent. Z.
