Poole (1989) included LEDAEA in the subfamily OPHIDERINAE, treated as CALPINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999).

Poole (1989) included LEGNA Walker, 1865 (preoccupied) as a junior synonym of LEDAEA Druce, 1891.

Poole (1989) included 3 species in the genus LEDAEA.
