Notes:
Patouissa Walker, 1864, was downgraded to denote a subgenus of Lecithocera Herrich-Schäffer, 1853 by Gozmany, 1978, in Microlepidoptera Palaearctica, Amsel, Gregor and Reisser [Eds] Volume 5, Lecithoceridae, p. 79.

Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:-

No originally included species was cited on page 11 but on page 45 a reference was given to Microlepid pl.12 where the only included species cited as "Lecithocera luteicornella". On page 207 the species was cited as "Luticornella F.R.-Zell. Is. 1839". Lecithocera was included in the "Gelechiadae" by Fletcher, 1929, Mem. Dep. Agric. India (Ent.) 11: 123; it was transferred to the Gelechiidae Lecithocerinae, now Lecithoceridae, by Le Marchand, 1947, Revue fr. Lépidopt. 11: 153.
