Fletcher (1979) stated:-

Anchiphyllia was used by Butler without any indication that it was a new generic name; it was evidently obtained from Warren and was unintentionally made nomenclaturally available before Warren's generic description was published.

Parsons et al. (1999) included only 1 species in the genus ANCHIPHYLLIA.
