Fletcher (1979) stated:-

The diagnosis of Lamprocabera was based on B. candidaria Leech, 1897, which Inoue misidentified as Deilinia punctata Warren, 1894, Novit. zool. 1: 405. Inoue, 1976, Tinea 10: 19, stated that in December 1975 he made application to the Commission under Article 70(a) of the Code requesting that they exercise their plenary powers to correct the type-species designation from Deilinia punctata Warren, 1894, to Bapta candidaria Leech, 1897. The receipt of Dr H. Inoue's application by the Commission was recorded in 1976, Bull. zool. Nom. 33 (1): 1; the application has not yet been published.

Bapta candidaria Leech, 1897 - was proposed as the type-species for Lamprocabera Inoue, 1958, by subsequently designation by Inoue and to be placed on the Official List of Specific Names in Zoology 1980, Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature 37 (3) : 164.

Parsons et al. (1999) included only 1 species in the genus LAMPROCABERA.
