Notes:
Heterocrossa Meyrick, 1882, was designated as a valid genus [within the Carposinidae] and brought out of synonymy by Zimmerman 1978, Microlepidoptera, Part 1, Insects of Hawaii, 9 : 797.

Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:-

The type-species was originally included by Meyrick as * Abreptella Walker, an incorrect subsequent spelling.

HETEROCROSSA was included within the family CARPOSINIDAE by Dugdale et al., in Kristensen (1999).
