Fletcher (1979) stated:-

The only species originally included in Amphitorna by Turner was misidentified by him as Oreta fuscimargo Warren, 1896. The misidentification was corrected and, Oreto fuscimargo Warren sensu Turner, was described as Amphitorna lechriodes by Turner in 1926.
