Poole (1989) included CNEPHOZETA Billberg, 1820 (as GNEPHOZETA Billberg, 1820); OCHRIA Hübner, 1821; and XANTHOECIA Hampson, 1908 as junior synonyms of GORTYNA Ochsenheimer, 1816.
