Ganisa was established in the Drepanulidae, now Drepanidae; it was placed in the Lasiocampidae by Moore, [1883] 1882-3, Lepid. Ceylon 2: 137; and in the Eupterotidae by Swinhoe, 1892, Cat. east. and Aust. Lepid. Heterocera Colln Oxf. Univ.
