Nye (1975) stated:-

A. calisto was treated by Boisduval as though it was a new species although it is a junior subjective synonym of Apina callisto Walker, 1855, the type-species of Apina Walker, 1855.

Poole (1989) included AMAZELA Boisduval, 1874 as a junior synonym of APINA Walker, 1855.
