Fletcher (1979) stated:-

This genus was originally proposed in the Geometridae, butu was subsequently transferred to the Epiplemidae, where it was placed by Staudinger, 1901, in Staudinger & Rebel, Cat. Lepid. palaearct. Faunengeb. 1: 359.

Eversmannia Staudinger is not preoccupied by Eversmannia Erschoff, which was not published until after February 1871.
