The taxon represented by the nominal species Papilio endymion Fabricius is currently treated subjectively on taxonomic grounds as being the same as that represented by the nominal species Papilio regalis Cramer, [1775] (Uitl. Kapellen 1 (6) : 114, pl. 72, figs E, F.
