Notes:
Euxanthe Hübner, [1819] was designated as the type-genus for the new tribe Euxanthini and the new subfamily Euxanthinae (Charaxidae) [Euxanthe now placed in the Nymphalidae, Charaxinae] by Rydon, 1971, Entomologist's Record and Journal of Variation 83 : 284. [Euxanthinae is not adopted here].

EUXANTHE was included within the subfamily NYMPHALIDAE: CHARAXINAE by Ackery et al., in Kristensen (1999).
