Notes:
Fletcher (1979) stated:-

R. intermaculata is currently treated as a subspecies of Racheospila aggravaria Guenée, 1857, in Boisduval & Guenée, Hist. nat. Insectes (Spec. gén. Lépid.) 9: 373. Guenée recorded the type-locality of R. aggravaria doubtfully as Cayenne; this is now known to be incorrect. The female holotype in the BMNH is matched by specimens from the eastern part of tropical Africa.

Established as an objective replacement name for METACINETA Prout, 1912.

Parsons et al. (1999) included 3 species and 2 subspecies (inc. nominates) in the genus EUPROUTIA.
