Holotype - male [WEST INDIES]: [Virgin Is], I'le Saint-Thomas, (MNHN, Paris).. (not found in MNHN, Paris nor in BMNH)
Nye (1975) stated:-
Eumicremma was proposed for M. minima on the basis of 1 male & 1 female from Madagascar. Berio stated that the male had been compared for him with Guenée's type in BMNH. I have been unable to find this type, so it is probable that the male from Madagadagasar had been compared only with the series of specimens in BMNH, as listed by Hampson, 1910, Cat. Lepid. Phalaenae Br. Mus. 10: 152, and not with the type itself. The specimens of this series range in distribution from U.S.A. to South Africa and probably represent more than one species.
