Somali Fossil?

Found close to Las Geel, Somaliland, Somalia.

Any clues as to what it might be greatly appreciated.

It's a spiral shape.

Volume: 130cc

Weight: 210g

Thanks for the further photos, etc.

The density of 1.6g/ml is interesting: too light for rock, a bit heavy for bone (roughly 1g/ml).

It might be bone that is partly indurated, or was dense to start with.

Or it might be something else (but the spiralling is too regular for coprolite, methinks).

Let me be rude and presume your density calculation is wrong...

In that case it is an internal mould of a spiral gastropod, composed of what looks like a calcarenite.
