Who's bone was this?

Hi, my daughter found this weathered bone on a beach in Dorset. We know its from the spine - but who's? Any suggestions to its origins would be appreciated

    Hello,

This is the Atlas bone (the first cervical vertebra) of an ungulate. It may be a type of deer, but the only specimen that matches its size in the small collection I have is sheep. It is too small for Red Deer, so maybe Roe Deer or indeed Sheep may be the ID.

    Yours,
