Can anyone identify this extremely small beetle?

I live in Cambridgeshire and have found many of these little beetles in my paintings and photographs. I thought they may be woodworm, hopefully not, but looking at my picture frames there are no holes or anything so a little stumped. They are very small and difficult to picture however I have tried my best using a magnifying glass and my mobile phone. Hopefully someone can tell me what they are and whether I should be worried about them, I must have come across about 500 of them at least!

I don't think these are beetles, I suspect that they are thrips (Thysanoptera).  They do tend to find their way indoors in cold weather.  They are also an indoor plant pest - in fact they have been known to cause problems for people growing cannabis... Do you have any house plants? ;-]
