Are you able to assist with an African species see in The Gambia last December?
This looks like a Neptis morosa -common name Savannah Sailer .For some reason Sailer is spelt with er not or.
It could also be Neptis serena (it occurs in The Gambia as well) -
As Adrian Hoskins writes therein concerning Neptis: "Distinguishing the species involves careful study of the configuration of the white spots, bars and submarginal lines on both wing surfaces".
There are over 60 species of Neptis in Africa, and I don't have a reference showing them all. I have no idea which species have been recorded from The Gambia.
