This egg came from a nest in the sandstone cliffs at Shanklin on the Isle of White. This was just one of around a dozen in the same place - we left the rest for others to find. Can you help us identify it please?

The rest of out finds are on our facebook page http://goo.gl/6DkPf any help identifying them would be much appreciated, thank you!

I'm afraid this one also looks to be a lump of Chert, although the honey-comb section in the middle is quite likely the remains of a sponge.
