Identification  wanted for this spider plz

it is under a porch about the size of a common garden spider  it has a white/creamy under belly i have put a pic on in another message but this may be a little more clearer

    Hi Bsugar,

     

    As you suspected in your other post, this is a steatoda nobilis, one of the false widow species. Females (like this one) tend to stick to, or close to, their webs and are pretty docile. I have a couple above my front door (male & female), one in my bedroom window, a couple of spiderlings in my living rom window frame and one that I have yet to see in my office window (it's tell-tale, haphazard web is pretty large and spun in ther last few days).

     

    I tend to be more wary of ground spiders (stone spiders, sac spiders & mouse spiders), that typically wander the walls in search of prey at night. I relocate these when I find them...false widows I'm happy to leave be.

     

    I did read that there is a colony as far north as Fleetwood Lancs.
