? Hoverfly

IMG_8561,.JPGIMG_8560,.JPG

The attached fly was feeding on Ragwort in Hainault Forest on 13th August. I thought that it was a hoverfly. It has a large rosturm. The thorax has a grey and black pattern with a yellow scutellum. The abdominal pattern is not clear in the photos but no orange. Stubbs and Falk British Hoverflies show only Rhingia as having a rostrum. I would be grateful for an identification please. Thanks, Brian
