I found this beetle this evening on the chard in our veggie patch - I've not seen one like this before. Can anyone provide an ID at all? We're located in West Oxfordshire, just south of Witney.
That is actually a true bug nymph rather than a beetle. It looks to be a Brassica Bug (Eurydema oleracea), which makes sense considering where you found it:
Ah - thanks! I wouldn't have found that... From looking at the identification chart there, I'd probably say it was more like a Pied Shieldbug, despite it being in the middle of the veg.
