Can anyone identify this tree?

Can anyone identify this tree?

It was growing at the side of a road in Paphos, Cyprus. It was a medium height tree with grey bark, red flowers and leaves as seen in photo. Fruit/nut in clusters with medium sized seeds, similar to pine nuts but more rounded.

If anyone can identify this it would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

I would go for a Brachychiton sp. (a.k.a. Kurrajong). There are quite a few species (and not being an expert on anything I can't tell which). It is of Australian (incl. New Guinea) origin, but have been introduced in the Mediterranean (and elsewhere with a suitable climate).
