Head to tip of wing about 2.7 cm
Can crawl, jump and fly.
No feelers or antenae seen.
Has a penetrating mouth piece under the abdomen like a 'True Bug'
I don't think it is a Moth ?
Based on its mouth piece ... it should be a 'True Bug' right ?
Yes, you are right, it is a bug (order Hemiptera). It looks like a lantern fly (family Fulgoridae), like this one.
I hope this helps.
ha ha ha ... THANKs a LOT !
I told my 6 years old daughter .. it could be a lantern bug before i post these up.
It crawls, jumps, and flies like one. It's mouth piece and its body looks like one too.
Except .. where is the long nose ? Will they grow the nose later ?
I already notice adult green latern bug with long nose on my longan tree few days ago too.
And the green lantern bug (which i post on the other topic) actually has a bright blue color wing underneath its green wing.
THANKs again Florin ... tomorrow my daughter can share it with her kindergarden teacher and friends before we release it again.
