This caterpillar was found feeding voraciously on a catmint potplant in our conservatory.
When stretched out it is about 2inches/5cm long.
It has a pale yellow stripe on each side, low down (see 2nd photo) and the segments seem to be separated by yellow edging.
Can anyone identify it please ?
I've got an answer from one of our moth experts: this looks like the Angle Shades Phlogophora meticulosa (family Noctuidae).
