I found this ammonite fragment at Hornsea but it appears different to the ones normally found. Can anyone identify what type it is?
Looks a bit like a water worn Schlotheimia sp ammonite from the Lower Lias - Lower Jurassic.
Probably transported to our area by the last ice age from the Redcar area.
