My Daughter spotted this in Scotland today. From what we can gather its quite rare, and not seen in Scotland for a long time?
Can anyone confirm this?
Also appears to have some kind of parasites all over the head, although i'm a long way from being a Beetle expert
Black-tipped antennae and a broad black outer margin to the most backward orange spot on the elytra (the spot is thus smaller, less wide) -> vespilloides, not investigator.
N. vespillo has yellow hairs on the abdomen (and here and there...)
