Lizard I.d

Would be great to know what this lizard is photographed in the Loire, France. It was no more than 20-25 cm.

    Hi emg,

I see no-one's had a chance to reply to your post yet. I'm afraid I don't know much about identifying lizards, but my colleague who knows a thing or two about reptiles has suggested it might be a sand lizard. Hopefully one of the museum scientists will be along soon to tell you what it is, but in the meantime you might want to take a look at this website for more information.

Hi i'm an absolute reptile enthusiast haha young though so haven't got huge amounts of experience but I'd be fairly confident in saying it was a common wall lizard with greenish colouring, looks most like the corsican species the tyrrhenian wall lizard however 20-25cm would be a bit large for either of these but as its an estimate this could just be a misjudgement?
