We have many 6 legged spider-like creatures in our new wildlife pond (6 months old)
Another pond conservation site says this is a dragonfly larva, which surprised me as I thought they are normally long and thin, not rounded. Anyway, can anybody identify this please? Apologies for lack of scale - they're approximately 9mm from head to tail.
Thanks for the reply - now I can look forward to dozens of dragonflies emerging next year then. Yes, it's a new, small pond, and I have seen blue dragonflies around it, so that's quite likely. Thanks again.
