Wasp I.D.?

I found this wasp in a church yard in Hereford but can't pin it down.

    That is becasue it's not a wasp, it's a solitary bee, Nomada.  I have seen a lot of these this year, and was advised by an expert that they are Nomada ruficornis.  Yours look very similar although I'm not sufficiently expert to say if this is definitely the species.

      As Clive suggests, identifying male N. ruficornis from pics is a hazardous game! I would just stick with"male Nomada sp."
