Is this a bone? If so can anyone identify it?

I found my dog playing with this (see images attached) in the back garden. I assumed it was a stone as he loves playing with stones. On closer inspection it looks like a bone of some sort. Can anyone identify it?

Hi - this is a tooth of an ungulate mammal - possibly cow but I expect expert John will respond with a more authoritative ID soon.
