False Widow Spider?

Found this and several more is a dissussed boiler house in a garden, about 2" / 50mm in size. very impressive looking. Are they False Black Widow, any ideas?

    I think this one of the cave spiders, Meta sp. but they're not usually this dark. Were they all this dark?

        Just to assure you they're not false widows, if you look at the first and second legs on the left you'll see some fairly long spines which you won't see on a false widow.

         

        Maybe it's Meta bourneti which can get pretty dark - and is the less common of the two UK Meta species. You can post more pics if you wish but I can't think what else they could be.They do have a reputation of being rather docile and slow moving..
