Beetle/ladybird ID needed please.

This little fella was found on our lavender in West Sussex.  Any ideas?

That's a Rosemary Leaf Beetle, Chrysolina americana.  It's a recent introduction to the UK and originates from the Mediterranean.  It can occur in some numbers on a range of herbs such as lavender, rosemary, thyme and sage, but doesn't do much damage.  Apparently they are now common in the south - a friend of mine has also seen them here in Cheshire although I've not seen one yet.
