Walton-on-the Naze ..again!!
This is pyritic in nature so something from the fossilised forest?

I think it could be just a strange shaped rock but still a nice find.
Blast furnace slag?
Coracle - no - not regular enough for a pine/conifer cone.
Tabfish - could be slag, maybe.
I would like more info: density, magnet attracted to it?, other views of it, why described as 'pyritic'?, where at Walton-on-the Naze?
Could be worn out pyrites or pyrites that have not formed into crystals.
