bird ID

I saw this bird in the waterfall aviary ,at Jurong Park in Singapore .

The birds are supposed to be from Africa but that might not be true

as I saw a few asian specimens in the aviary also.

I think it may be a Babbler but Icannot find an ID anywhere.

There was no id at the park and I forgot to ask at the time.

Can anyone help ,please .

It reminds me a little of the Scimitar Babbler but the eyes look wrong in the references I found.

    Hello,

I know it’s an old topic, but your photo is interesting and if you’re still interested…

It’s a Pale-legged Hornero (Furnarius leucopus), a South American bird in the Furnariidae family (Ovenbirds).

You can look at the Wikipedia entry for this species, they have a photo that matches yours.

    Regards,

    Florin
