These false widows were all found within 5 meters of each other. I think they are three distinct types grossa, noblis, bipuctata. Can anyone confirm this?
The first two photos show what I think is the grossa dealing with its favourite food beetles (Summer chafer and a Dung beetle of some sort, it leaves them as lightweight husks), the third noblis and the fourth bipunctata.
Thanks for posting the link - 3 is defo S. nobilis as I highly suspect is 4. 1 & 2 could be S. grossa, but again I suspect that they may also be dark form of S. nobilis. To be 100% you still really need to look at the 'bits' beneath a microscope, that said you can usually make an informed judgement.
