Found this lovely little crab fossil unfortunately the rock was cracked and the claw has separated but has some beautiful detail and some colour too! If anyone can provide a species I.d i'd be greatful!
I doubt there is enough info in the photos to allow a direct ID of species.
But perhaps, if you can tell us where it came from (which part of Sheppey), we can find references to crabs in relevant literature, and make an inferred ID. If you can also tell us the beds it came from, that would help (especially if from a cliff - where multiple stratigraphic units would appear on top of each other on a map).
Yes - Zanthopsis is a possibility; good suggestion.
