Hello there, whilst on holiday in Cornwall myself and my two sons found a strange part skeleton washed up on the beach, it is a skull and a section of the backbone of a creature that appears to be some sort of lizard or snake perhaps ...... My sons are convinced its a dragon :-)
I have some detailed photos I could send alongside a ruler from different angles, if you could identify what this creature was we would be most interested.... Many thanks...
I came across one or two like this last year in Dorset and if I remember correctly it was suggested that they belonged to a member of the Gadidae family of fish, which includes cod and its close relatives such as whiting and pollack.
It's just a suggestion, but this site shows a typical cod skull which certainly looks similar to what I found, and to what I can make out of yours.
