I've recently found these small bugs that looks like a type of beetle in my kitchen. They crawl as well as fly. Also, I've noticed they tend drop and stay still (maybe play dead?) when they are bothered. I've tried looking at many websites to identify the bug but I can't seem to find out what it is.
These are bruchid beetles (Coleoptera: Chrrysomelidae; Bruchinae) - AKA Bean Weevils.
The larvae feed internally on beans and other legumes so somewhere in your kitchen you have an infested batch of legumes or similar, though they more occasionally feed on processed starchy food. They usually enter on pre-infested foodstuffs; find this, chuck it out and that will be the end of them.
